God the Father loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins, (i.e. the sacrifice that turns away God's wrath because of our sin). In the same way we must also love one another in giving our best to them and cover their short comings by earnestly praying for them, then God remains in us and we in God and His love is perfected in us.
God the Son loved us and laid down His life for us, we should also love others and lay down our lives for them, then God remains in us and we in God.
We lay down our lives for others by allowing compassion to flow from our hearts to the needy. First by praying for them and then by practically meeting their needs: Loving them truly - not in words but in action.
Do you know that just by implementing these following two points we can actually keep God’s commandments and do those things that please Him?
1. Believing Jesus and confessing Him as the Son of God.
2. Loving one another as He has loved us
When Jesus was on this earth, He too believed the Father and loved the people, even His enemies. He is doing the same even now.
“As He is so are we in this world”. By Faith in God and Love for people your love will reach perfection and you will become a vessel of love - free from all fear. It is so simple!
Not only God will remain in you and you in God, but you will also have confidence that God will hear your prayers. You will not be ashamed before Jesus at His coming. You will have confidence and boldness in the day of judgement.
Love is not a feeling or a physical thrill. But love is a dwelling place, a home where people can find rest and comfort. Is your heart a dwelling place of rest and comfort for others?
Practical: If you want this to become a reality in your life then train yourself by:
1. Not asking the Lord anything for your sake in prayer.
2. Ask the Lord what He wants you to pray for others and begin to pray those things for them.
3. As for all your needs, only give thanks to the Lord for the answers.
This is an easy way to get rid of our ‘Self-Life’ and become a dwelling place of love. Make this your life style.
God bless you!
