From the Father's Heart: Fulfilling Mercies
God in His compassion is pouring His fulfilling mercies in these last days over His people. Mercies that will meet all our outward and inward needs.
Jesus said, "But I tell you truly, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, and there was a great famine throughout all the land; but to none of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath, in the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow. And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian." (Luke 4:25-27)
Among so many widows in those days, only one was chosen by God to whom the prophet Elijah was sent and she experienced the Provision of God. She and her entire household were fed miraculously till the famine lasted.
Similarly, among so many lepers during that time, only Naaman was chosen by God, sent to Elisha the prophet, and was cleansed of his leprosy. Naaman experienced the Power of God that transformed his life. He returned as a changed person.
Oh! What Fulfilling Mercies: the PROVISION OF GOD to meet needs of the outward life and the POWER OF GOD to transform the inward life!
The widow experienced mercies for her outward life,
Naaman experienced mercies in his inward life.
What about you and me? We are chosen by our gracious Lord in such a time as this to receive a combination of both, outward mercies/miracles and inward/miracles! God in His great mercy for us will meet all our outward (earthly) needs and will also transform us completely on the inside (our nature and character) in this season!!
Believe and receive. Thank Him for His fulfilling mercies. Heaven is smiling on you. God has remembered you. He is lavishing His love on you.
May Jesus, our Heavenly Bridegroom be worshipped forever!!
